"The policy defines the terms frequently used in online learning, the principles for online instruction, and approval of online courses and degree programs. The policy does not specify whether instruction will go online, only what the procedures should be if and when it does. The principles for online instruction are purposely separated into two sections; student support, rights and responsibilities and faculty support, rights and responsibilities. This was assembled from best practices and recommendations from the Statewide Academic white paper on online education and a variety of sister campuses across the state successful in online education."
